Thanks for your replay.  I have no trouble logging in.  e.g. I logged in to respond here.  However, when I did, I get to a home page, have to search for this issue, & then click on it.  I’m just saying that once I’m looking at a newsletter & login as a Plus member, it should keep me on the same issue.

Stay tuned.  I will let you know.

Thank you Susan.  BTW, although I’m a Plus member, it would be nice that when I receive my Plus newsletter, I could sign in directly as a Plus member.  i.e. I click the “comment” link in the newsletter, it takes me to the article, but when I sign in, it takes me to my account, rather than to the newsletter I was in.

Then I have to look up the issue number to make sure I’m in the right place to post the comment or question.

That’s interesting.  This is what I see using the Windows Update Mini Tool:

This month KB5049981 was offered for Win10 22H2.  I’m hesitating to install it because it’s the largest “patch” I’ve ever seen…103.94Gb.  Has anyone had any experience with this patch?  Susan, have you tested it?

      Thanks in advance!

I still use Excel 2003 because I like menus (I can use the keyboard), not toolbars.  Is AFE available for it?  (I do see the post above that says it’s not supported on an even later version).

Thank you for all this information.  I followed your link & created an account at OpenDNS.  However, how do I find out what type of router I have & any other information about it, so that I can use OpenDNS.

Thank you again & Happy Holidays!

When I click on your link for KB5046613, it takes me to a web page that says I must have KB5011543. When I look at Installed Updates, I don’t know how to find that. There’s no search that I know of in Windows 10 & I don’t see it listed. I’m not sure if that’s preventing me from installing KB5046613.

When I search for KB5046613 on the Microsoft website, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/november-12-2024-kb5046613-os-builds-19044-5131-and-19045-5131-44e6c27e-e188-4dd5-8ad2-edde2e235c01, it’s on a side panel. I click it & it takes me to the same site, but I don’t see a way to download or install it.

      Happy Thanksgiving!

AFAIK, every version of CCleaner released since CCleaner v3.22 includes this tool, including the CCleaner Free Portable v6.30.11385 I’m currently using.

Thank you for that information. I don’t remember where I read or heard that newer versions of CCleaner wouldn’t have that option. However, the free v6.30.11385 is the next one after my version, so I think I’ll update.

      Thanks again.

Are you referring to the CCleaner tool at Tools | Startup | Context Menu tab?

Yes, that’s why I won’t update CCleaner any more. They got rid of that option.

I would strongly advise that you do NOT use CCleaner’s Driver Updater

I just checked for Intel updates & everything is up to date.  I already have the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant, so it checks automatically & the last update was on 8/24/24. Thank you for advising me.

Thanks again to everyone who replied.  It has really helped me.  Since I’ve downloaded & installed card Nvidia GeForce GT 730 driver 475.14 & everything is working fine, I’ll keep it & not update again.  I tend to keep the Windows versions that I have for a long time (I not only have Win10, but also Win XP Pro (which is still my favorite).

    • in reply to: SCleaner — Stay ahead of the cleaning #2719137

I still use CCleaner version 6.29.11342 (64-bit).  I won’t update to a later version because this version has something that the new versions don’t have…the ability to remove or add context menu items, if I recall correctly.

I know there are other ways to add & remove context menu items, but I haven’t had to do this for several years & have forgotten the other methods.

The NVIDIA Geforce Drivers page indicates the most current update for your GT 730 is the Jul 9 2024 GeForce Security Update Driver 475.14 for desktop Kepler-series GeForce GPUs which are no longer supported by Game Ready Drivers.

Thank you again.  I was able to download, install, & reboot with the new driver.  I was using Chrome, which still causes the Nvidia website to refresh continually.  However, I also took your advice & used Brave to go to their website & it did so without refreshing.  Strange.

Thank you to everyone for all your advice & thank you Susan for publishing this article.

Thank you n0ads. However, when I use that link, the Nvidia website keeps reloading, so that I can’t download anything. Does it keep reloading for you?
