AskWoody_MVPThe info in the log file produced by KB 4099950 is probably correct info for the time that that instance of KB 4099950 was installed by you. Later, you probably installed KB4093118 and rebooted, after which the pci.sys version should be newer.

I’m not aware that KB 4099950 can update file pci.sys.

That’s not a new update. As of around January 1, 2018, the article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/947215/you-receive-a-the-user-profile-service-failed-the-logon-error-message had been last updated on April 21, 2017.
