AskWoody LoungerI use Firefox and use the Behind the Overlay extension. When a popup such as ‘subscribe here’ etc. pops up, click the Overlay extension and it removes the popup, without one having to click on said popup.

AskWoody LoungerSeveral years back I had similar issues. And still do since my provider issues new certificates every 3-4 months or so. A few years back, there were threads about resolving this, but those comments now lead to a page that is no longer good.
If you can still get into the Certificate Manager, try again. You really have to dig down, expanding where possible. Look for a skull’n’crossbones image. that’s your clue to fix. I did a brief google search. Try the suggestions in this article.

AskWoody LoungerMaybe related, and might explain my problem. The last 2 days, my v.87 on Win7 has been slow to load pages. When I click on a link to open a new page (in a new tab), or hit the back button to go back a page, the browser responds, goes to the page, but takes about 5 seconds to load the page. It doesn’t load slowly – it’s just a white page for about 5 seconds and then the full page appears.

AskWoody LoungerNot only do I remember it, I’m still using it. Yeah, I’m a dinosaur, and used a clay tablet! I’ve had this problem, more than once. Try the fix described in the thread below. And you may have to do it more than one time. It’s like another dinosaur told me early in my career – sometimes you have to do it 3 times just to convince the computer that you really, really want to do that.
Also – Note the list of certificates in the 2nd screen shot. Each item on the list may or may not be expandable. If it is expandable, check each item. That pesky little scull can hide in more than one place. Good luck!

AskWoody LoungerI checked his credits at imdb and was amazed. He was in almost every western that was on TV back in the early 60’s. Last weekend MeTV played some of those shows that he was in before Star Trek.

AskWoody LoungerThanks for the information and advice. It’s almost a moot point now because I’ve worked out most of the problems I had that made me want to do this. I’ll file away the advice for future reference and hope I don’t really need it.

AskWoody LoungerThis sounds like what happened to my office’s Olympus dictation/transcription software. One day the program simply would not open. One of our techs later told us the program was force closing as soon as it opened. After much searching I was able to track it down to a Windows update. After uninstalling the update, the program was back to normal. I was extremely lucky in searching and was able to find the particular update to uninstall. If you don’t know which update it is, I guess you would have to uninstall them one at a time until you find the culprit. Or maybe someone else knows a better method of determining if it is an update and/or which one.

http://www.shutterfly.com/My husband set up such an account a few years ago but I don’t remember all the details. However, the webpage does have several folders, categorized, icons, etc. The person who set up the page/account (administrator) could also authorize access to users, whether they could add, view, etc. Good luck!

AskWoody LoungerThis page/tool was invaluable to me and my office during our transition from menus to ribbons. The links take you to what looks like a blank Word (or Excel, Access, etc.) page showing menus. Click the menu, then the command, and it will show you where the same command is on the ribbon.

AskWoody LoungerWord 2010 is notorious for having multiple windows. I don’t know if this will help or not, but for what it’s worth… If you use shortcut CTRL W, it will close the active window but leave the program open.

AskWoody LoungerWould this help… Click File/ Open (don’t use shortcut, click File and then Open). Under “Files of Type” scroll down and choose “Recover Text From Any File”. Sometimes you get lucky. Or try opening it from Notepad. Again, sometimes you get lucky.

AskWoody LoungerSo happy to see so many PSP fans. I’ve been using PSP since v3.x and agree with you all. PSP started going downhill with version 6 so I’m still using v5.01. I have version 5.01 running on two Win7 64 bit machines. I installed from the installation CD and everything went smoothly with no problems, errors, at all. Both machines are run as administrator. Maybe that makes a difference.
