    • KB4103718 after updating my Win 7 32bit PC next day I found I could not RDP to my 2012R2 PDC server. Error ” an authentication error has occurred the function requested is not supported” – could RDP to 2008R2 servers.

Uninstalling KB4103718 re-enable my RDP login. Seems that this patch is for some vulnerability that could exist in the credentials, however as usual MS expects all to Auto-update and the Fix is to update my server too! I don’t do this automatically!! Do I want all my kit to grind to halt? Just thought I’d warn you.

    • Amidst this carnage that MS has wrought, do they care at all about the effect on people like us? We are a small school with limited budget. We are still running our old PCs using Win 7. WE do plan to upgrade in September to Win 10 and get some new PCs, but several of our computers are now unusable! Even trying uninstalling patches etc, (takes loads of my time and there are other things to do), so does MS care that WE do not have vast funds  (Like them) to keep constantly upgrading (wish we did). Do they fancy even considering helping us out (Gates foundation – a few thousand quid would help, drop in the MS ocean).

Not working for me. I’m getting one after another Win 7 Pro pcs unable to update. Please is there a fix? Has MS responded at all? One of my suppliers said “ upgrade to Win 10” . Not very helpful. This is school. I’ve better things to do at the moment but security is paramount.
