I started my career as a communications equipment technician with the U. S. Air Force, serving from April 1972 until February 1981. I obtained my 1st Class Radiotelephone License from the FCC in July 1980, and serviced radio station broadcast equipment and business band radios for a number of years through the 1980s and 90s. I cross-trained to the computer field beginning 1998, and received A+ certification from CompTIA in February 2000. I ran my own computer company in Montana for a dozen years, doing custom builds and servicing all makes of computers, including Windows, Linux and MAC systems. Was network admin for a school system for several of those years. I also serviced Point of Sale systems for a number of fast food chains in Montana. Now semi-retired, and currently living in Australia with my new bride.
