Some of the old information technology dinos - started to dig into that business in 1976 as a young student. Was sice then on the bleeding edge of many developments (sitting between companies like Microsoft and end users, facing the first MS-DOS, Windows, Office and so on). Struggeled 1993/94 with something called Linux 0.x, delivered on a floppy disk. German computer book author since 1988 - since 1993 as a freelance writer. Author of several Microsoft Press USA books about the Windows Registry, Windows Script Host - and writer of many more German books about computer stuff (>250 titles). Nasty Blogger about information technology since 2007. Ex software developer (gave that up that stuff) Ex Microsoft MVP Windows Consumer Still Microsoft Windows Insider MVP Now more and more bored about buggy and useless software we receive from developers ... and looking now for retirement (possible in 3.2019), but I fear I can't stop ranting and blogging about software releases, Windows bugs and even more
