I would post over on Mariette’s forum, in the meantime I’ll ask around.

I usually install it and then use GRC | SecurAble: Determine Processor Security Features | to disable the speed impact.

Actually the headline needs changing:

Exchange servers that haven’t been properly maintained hit with attacks targeting unpatched Exchange servers.

Easy fix. Patch.

Make sure that you have enough space on the C drive.  Review that updating has been working and not throwing off any errors.  In general, is the computer working “okay” for you?
