Thanks for the heads up on NAPS. It’s better than the Canon software too. We like how you can scan a batch in the ADF and then scan some more before acting on that batch.

One thing I can’t quite figure out how to do is configure a profile for doublesided on the ADF. There’s a choice to pull from the “Duplexer” but that doesn’t work. I’ll keep playing with it, and it’s not a dealbreaker since we can have it present the dialog box to manually adjust it.

Thanks Bruce and Zig. I tried Bruce’s solution first since it didn’t involve a new program and that worked. I suspected it was something like that, thanks! Zip, TeraCopy looks great too and I definitely would have used that as my next solution.

The good news is that, as Byron Tarbox suggested, the storm has passed. I’m back down to my normal spam level (which GMail continues to catch at exemplary levels).

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I’ve scanned three ways from Sunday and blocked ports and even shut my machine off and they’re still happening, so it looks like I’ll just have to ride it out.

I do hope my email address doesn’t get blacklisted. It’d be a real pain to have to switch.
