Then again maybe I’m just getting too old for this stuff
. Safest way is to use the shifted arrow keys.

Unfortunately, one thing we have in common is that minority of crazy fanatics in our midst.
[/indent] Sad but true!
On a more pleasant side – thanks for pointing me to Ranish Partition Manager – that did the trick and got rid of the pesky EXT DOS partition (it WAS NTFS – now FAT32!)The difference between Genius and Stupidity:

AskWoody LoungerThanks – I’ll give it a try later tonight – been rather hectic around here for the last couple of days – what with no aircraft traffic to get our people from where they are to where they’re needed! Looks like that is clearing up now – but very slowly. Time for the world to reflect on what happened, and find a way to prevent it from happening in the future – one country cannot do the job – but the world can!

AskWoody Loungerpretty small – don’t really need too much – most of the stuff that I’m evaluating is under 500M – and according to da boss – NO MUSIC!

AskWoody LoungerI know
– just went brain-dead trying to get this doorstop running – I really don’t need it that much – just trying to get another platform for testing various configurations of hardware/software. Thanks for waking me up…

AskWoody LoungerIt is possible that in a prior life it had a dual boot – I really do not know it’s history – I only know that FDISK sees the EXT DOS partition but cannot delete it.
I would love to be able to load Partition Magic, but do not have enough space – requres 57M, only have 18M avail
, perhaps I’ll format the 299M piece and see if I can load a version of Win9x that won’t suck up all of the space I have, then see if I have enough room for Partition Magic. If that does not work I will give the low-level format a go. If that won’t work and push comes to shove – I’ll just replace the HD – they’re not that expensive but I would like to save my
for other goodies!

AskWoody LoungerIs the scanner listed in with the printers in the Printers Folder? If it is, perhaps deleting it there will fix things for you
other than that I’m afraid I don’t know what else to do

AskWoody LoungerWhat I do is click on Communicator -> Address Book, once the address book is up click on File -> Export, then type in the filename with a .txt extention and then select Tab Delimited from the drop down, finally click on OK. From the resultant file I open it with Word then convert the text to a table and from there either clean up the way it looks or just print it. Sometimes I mess around with the initial txt file – like replacing all of the ^t with ^l and then replacing ^l^l with ^l (repeating until 0 replaced) then I convert the text to a table separating text at paragraph marks – then print it. And yes, I’m sure there is an easier way but this is the way I’ve done it.

ONLY 550? I have more than 3300(only 150 or so active) – like you say mostly from the various graphics packages out there, but then too I’ve been known to actually go out looking for something different.

AskWoody LoungerHi Charlotte –
Works just fine with Win9x, WinNT – don’t know ’bout the others. Yes it seems to send it to the clipboard, but it also has an option where you can select which portion of the screen shot you want, plus you can also save it in different formats (.gif, .bmp are two that I have used – haven’t tried .jpg yet). There are other options as well, it also shows the date and time printed on the bottom of the page – I really have not played too much with it – but I sure like it for documenting stuff on our systems at work. To each their own…
