    • in reply to: Why some Outlooks will stop working with Microsoft services #2392145

Does this mean we can’t access our hotmail.com account from our Chrome Web Browser?

What about One Drive?  Can we sign on to One Drive using our hotmail.com signon?

Could somebody please explain this more clearly for the non-technical readers of this blog?

    • in reply to: So can you fix line spacing please? #2361393

I love Word and have gotten used to its foibles (I’m still using Word 2010).  Yes, Autocorrect drives me crazy, but I know how to work around it when I need to, and it saves me a lot.  But I do have issues with line-spacing.  No matter how hard I try to get my default style to single-space within paragraphs, in each new document Word jumps back to big spaces between each line.

Although I don’t miss WordPerfect, I would love to see a Reveal Codes feature in Word.  I might consider updating my version of Word if Reveal Codes was available.

Regarding Tasks for the Weekend video:  I would prefer if you would also give a quick written description of what’s in the video in addition to the video link.  I try to avoid following video links as much as possible–even from trusted sites like yours.  Also I learn better from the written word than from a video.  You could do the written summary the next day if you don’t want to give away what’s in the video.

      Thank you.

    • Thank you all for your suggestions (I am the original CN that Woody posted about).  I am a very basic computer user, and unfortunately I didn’t understand or think I could follow most of these suggestions.  Given that Win 2004 was already half-way installed when I caught it and paused the installation, I think I am going to have to allow it to finish installing when I resume updates at the end of August.  I only use Office, the Web, Dropbox, and OneDrive.  I think I might be all right.  If none of the August updates looks urgent, I may keep pausing until the end of September.  Perhaps some of the Win 2004 updates will be gone by then.  Thank you all again, and a huge Thank You to Woody for being so helpful

We have Realtek High Definition Audio.  The speakers stopped working at least 2 months ago, perhaps longer.  We can still get sound through the head phones.
