W10 22H2 … I’m watching (Twice) WuMgr’s eternal Searching with No Results, also. THEN, after nearly 4 minutes it produced data for Installed and Hidden Updates. I did the CU on schedule so no new Updates were expected.

Paul, since he wants W11 23H2 …. just firing up WU seems risky as I can’t remember If / Where you go to get 23 or 24 Choices with WU or Upgrade Asst. W10 PRO he has offers a GP route but I’ll defer to you experts to coach him.

@doneagar … I have Opatch Pro and will stay on Office 2016 per below. PRO Auto-Updates BUT I think Free will Protect with Manual Updates on you. My last Pro Renew was $29 US. ……….Did you know Opatch will security-adopt Windows 10 — and — Office 2016 (mine) /2019 — when they go out of support in October 2025, allowing you to keep using them for at least 5 more years? Read more about it here.

    • Alex, I have plenty of Macrium BUT — What was your personal justification for risking a  Driver Update “Uh-Oh”. I can’t find where Intel states WHAT this Update DOES (ie) Security / Functions ? I’m UHD 630 Too and No Issues currently (And) HP shows a March ’20 Update I instd as IT’s Last offered for MY Envy desktop…..

    • I associated Opatch with Windows ONLY. Alex’s 1st Link produced a nice surprise About OFFICE I was unaware of (several years of Opatch PRO for me thanks to Susan’s prior post/advice).

    • My Search for ’21 to ’24 Home-Business produced this verbiage, particularly the Last Directive that states: Once installed, open any Office application (like Word or Excel) and activate it using your product key. Hopefully you or PKC will understand the mechanics of that To-Do AND (ie) does the ’21 Version you still See BECOME 2024 AFTER This Step. Is something like this in Excel File Tab \Account section at the bottom (ie) my Excel Has a SWITCH LICENSE Block?)

To be safe, the entire How-To was: Download the Office 2024 installer:
Go to [ office.com/setup ] and sign in with your Microsoft account or create a new one.
You’ll need the product key that came with your purchase of Office Home & Business 2024.
Follow the remaining prompts to complete the installation.
Once installed, open any Office application (like Word or Excel) and activate it using your product key.

Thanks, lmacri. I never saw Susan’s Block BUT the March CU Outlook item appears to affect just my Windows Mail setup via Start, which my post below details. With Hm-Stdnt C2R Office Not having Outlook I don’t think I’d ever get any version of the New Full App that many of you would deal with. Thanks again!

My 1st attempt to see Hotmail mail via Start/Windows Mail resulted in the Outlook setup popup. I re-established Both Hotmail Accts and will use as previously done. EssentialPIM is my main Mail app but Win Mail is sometimes useful.
P.S. I didn’t like the order of the two accts. I had to Delete the Acct I wanted as 2nd and Re-establish it = position #2. SO GLAD I got good Edit time as this is my 3rd.

A Search for “Firefox requires Primary Password all of the time” produced a Thread that confirms BUG# 1946121 created. His post included [ “Many thanks for explaining. I find that if I click “Cancel” at that first demand for a password it doesn’t ask me again until I go to a site that needs a password.” ]
Better yet, IF you Clk the Bug# and read toward the end it appears they have a Patch to offer users ASAP.

Hi, lmacri… No sign of Outlook either in Con Panel Programs-Features Apps List OR Installed Updates Or Start list. I only knew of Outlook as part of a Full Office Pkg & my ’16 Stdnt-Home Office omits Outlook. AS WU installs mount watch for articles on the topic.

    • in reply to: Macrium Incr Size Brain Teaser #2742358

Not confirmed by the Macrium Forum experts yet but I’m now at this point … On 1/23 WizTree showed a – pagefile.sys – entry of 11.6 GB NOT in other Saved WizTree Scans (16 GB total Incr from Last INCR / smaller File Increases made the extra). BUT then I realized that vX has an Exclusion Box for Images and the Exclude – pagefile.sys – Box IS the first box checked. So its existence shouldn’t matter to the vX Image Size. Since a 79 GB Space Used INCR was 29 GB my current SWAG theory is that 27 GB of Cluster Mods would have to occur with No Space Used Increase to go from a 2 GB INCR to a 29 GB Incr. Factor Compression and the 27 GB Cluster Mods would need to be even bigger. That’s all I’ve got for explaining this.

    • in reply to: Macrium Incr Size Brain Teaser #2742104

I couldn’t figure out HOW to properly use WinMerge BUT reasoned seeing WHAT was on one Drive with a small, typical INCR Vs 2nd with Large INCR (new Files/Folders not on 1st) would be revealing.

With WizTree showing (on 1/23) a 20 GB Size Increase in C:\Windows SINCE the LAST 2 Incr (21st & 19th) TODAY’s scheduled INCRs were ALL Typical 2 GB Size. I Can’t imagine what was happening but I’ll watch the SSD C:\ Growth and hope it stops.

      Thanks for the Replies!

    • in reply to: Macrium Incr Size Brain Teaser #2741852

Thanks, Paul. The Macrium Forum has steered me to the WinMerge App that can Compare Two Files and Hi-Light Differences. I’ll attempt a comparison analysis between Tues 18 GB Incr &  today’s 5 PM scheduled INCR – assuming today’s INCR Size remains unusually High for a typical 2-3 GB Incr. THEN I’ll Compare the (1/21) 2.41 GB Incr with TODAY’s. I cannot understand WHY the Only Typical-Sized INCR on 1/21 even occurred (vs 18 – 18 – 12.83 GB on SSD drives) AND that it’s ON the only HDD Bkup Drive that showed 22 & 30 GB Incr’s last week. Really Really Odd!
