AskWoody LoungerToday night WSUS downloaded updated KB4519976 (SMQR) and KB4519972 (PMQR). Does anybody know what’s changed? Only metadata of binaries or what? Windows Catalog also contains updated files on 17.10.19.

AskWoody LoungerOctober 3, 2019 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Microsoft confirms printing bug in second September cumulative update for Win10 1903 #1973408Woody, I am using network printer Xerox WC 7845. Print driver is universal PS. Before installing September CU everything works fine.
When I open any pdf document from network disks in Adobe Reader DC or FoxIt Reader and try to print, active window of program freezes and it is not even possible to force stop hang processes. a temporary solution to log off or reboot. But printing starts to work after reverting back before install of CU. Also the same issue in Internet Explorer when trying to call a print procedure. Freezes the active window of IE 11.Microsoft just publish new updates for printing issue before regular 2d Patch Tuesday.

Also have installed September updates on Win 8.1 and print issues began. Especially Adobe PDF and Internet Explorer 11. All is hanging. Reverted back to working state.

AskWoody LoungerMay 21, 2019 at 3:02 pm in reply to: MS-DEFCON 3: Get Windows XP, Win7 and associated Servers patched #1719688We’ve had several machines where Skype for Business 2015 would crash upon launch, after receiving monthly patches.
KB4464547 is the only Lync related patch.
It is listed 3 times in in the “View installed updates” and all have the same install date.
Not all machines experience the issue; it seems to be pretty random.
I had uninstalled the KB and reboot, and Skype works again.
Reinstall the patches, and Skype still works.
I don’t see any listed “Known issues” on the MS KB page.
Anybody else experiencing similar?

So it’s interesting to know if KB4461585 cumulative update and replace previous KB4461529?! In description no info about it. Only recommendation do not uninstall KB4461529.
Both updates are not checked in WU. What does it mean?
I didn’t install KB4461529 because of DEFCON-2! -
