AskWoody MVPRick,
Long time TV user also. Never had difficulty I couldn’t solve either by reading a bit on the TV Forum or their AI Chat,
If all else fails; 800 638 0253
I haven’t called yet, but might after an email requesting TV session, but it wouldn’t accept PW. though PW was correct. Aggravating.
They don’t seem like a company that would arbitrarily slow a connection that uses the free version as an enticement for a paid version. Typically that maneuver is reserved for less than desirable apps.
Who knows,RG might be right.
BTW, TV has reduced file transfer size to 25mb in free version.

AskWoody MVPSince you know how to use a video editor to grab a slice or just sound from a video, you can use y2mate to download video from Utube. It can save in different formats, just select.

You might have fun using the free version of VSDC to edit videos and sound tracks. It has a learning curve but is fun to play around with

AskWoody MVPI create a restore point before installing any software from anywhere. So much easier to revert to a previous known good state than the hassle of hunting down remnants of a bad software install.
As Ascaris previously mentioned, having up to date backups, is always smart.

AskWoody MVPIf that’s the case, would such redundant entries be picked up and deleted by a so-called “registry cleaner”?
If you are “cleaning” with CCleaner it doesn’t automatically delete found entries, you have to tell it to delete them. So, to answer your question, take a peek and find out.
CC asks you if you want to back up any deletions – just in case.

It is still amazing, the whole process of getting it built and flying it.
If you want to try your hand at docking Falcon9 at the ISS, SpaceX put a sim online. I started a topic in Fun Stuff to brag.
Godspeed to them

AskWoody MVPAt top of your web pages you have a graphic for MS-Defcon.
.
Explain it, at least briefly.
Add the month it refers to.
The graphic you referred to is clickable.

AskWoody MVPMay 8, 2020 at 1:44 pm in reply to: reCAPTCHA:Error:Invalid API parameter(s). Try reloading the page. #2260841Woody turns on the green light after updates have been used by the crash test dummies, and any major issues patched. DEFCON2 will return just before patch Tuesday (2nd Tues of mth.)
Note, when doing a feature update, Microsoft likes to play with restore points, they can disappear!
With the captcha issue, I’d try a restore point, to many tiny things can keep a normally working feature, captcha in this instance, from working. Assuming you haven’t changed anything on your comp, it’s worth a try since you are considering v1909.
Roll back, test it, then update.
You probably will not notice much difference between v1903 and v1909, both use the same code.

AskWoody MVPMay 8, 2020 at 10:34 am in reply to: reCAPTCHA:Error:Invalid API parameter(s). Try reloading the page. #2260768This might seem drastic (it isn’t really) check your Restore Points. If there is a point dated before you think this problem arose you might try rolling your comp back to that date. I’m not suggesting a year old restore point
Before you do this, create a new restore point.
I’ve chased problems, and restoring my system to a previous date gave me a starting point to work from.
It always helps to have a working, up-to-date external backup for this kind of situation. You’ll hear that a LOT on AskWoody.
A restore point may help.

AskWoody MVPApril 13, 2020 at 8:43 pm in reply to: MS-DEFCON 2: April 2020 Patch Tuesday arrives tomorrow. Get automatic update locked down. #2240827Both my PC and my laptop have maxxed out on the number of pauses allowed and the field is grayed out. I can’t pause it again, so I’m really hoping to hear some good news from you on this update!
Have you tried the suggestion offered in AskWoody Post referencing how to possibly extend update delays?
