If your case is the same as mine, it is not Outlook, but Yahoo that is the cause. Yahoo sent out an email months ago saying that not all apps adhered to their upcoming security requirements and that for specific apps, and Desktop Outlook (which includes your Desktop Outlook 2016) was one of them. The have specific steps to follow, which included them generating a password and that password being used for your Outlook on the desktop.

If you are IMAPing or POPing Yahoo email to your desktop Outlook, then you HAVE to follow their process. Once done, the password issue in Outlook goes away. It’s that easy.
If you don’t have the email with the steps, just ask and I will provide the steps.

    • Thank you very much for the Guide to Archiving. It works well except for one aspect – the Album Art from a CD is not being added/included. I assume there is something I have to do or have not done. I have searched the Foobar2000 forum on Album Art, Art and also posed it as a question, but have not found the answer. Can you please advise.
      Thanks
