AskWoody_MVPBack side top left, the green jack is common for output to speakers. The common styles of speakers have no input to the computer but usually the pink jack is for a microphone.

AskWoody_MVPThere usually has been a ‘rule’ that Windows would start lettering NAS/Network Attached Storage drives starting with Z: and working back up the alphabet, mine [2] did and all computers seen them as Y: and Z: when mapping the Public Folder on each. The 2 drives are wire-connected to the Router.

AskWoody_MVPThanks, I plan to try that tip next time my Wi-Fi disconnects from the ‘net. But my situation is different, I use Wireless DSL Internet service and its Modem is separate from the Router, can be used with 1 computer without the Router at all but that shuts down my internal LAN.

AskWoody_MVPYou’re welcome.

AskWoody_MVPJust to add, that works with a 2nd partition on the only drive or any other internal attached drive. The downloads will be a bit slower with USB drives and a bit more slower with NAS drives depending upon the Network hardware. I don’t use the USB or NAS drives for downloads except for later archiving those downloads.

AskWoody_MVPThere’s also the ‘trick’ of shimming an upper or lower hinge so the door uses its own weight to change the swing. But everything can change if the spouse decides to hang a full-length mirror or a shoe rack on the door.

AskWoody_MVPAnd never discount the influence exerted by businesses such as banks in fully moving their support from IE to Edge. Our local banks still work better with Firefox than Edge.

AskWoody_MVPAlso just a guess but maybe Microsoft is preparing to offer you the Upgrade to Version 1903?
Before you wonder "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?" -

AskWoody_MVPJust a guess but the 7GB suggests the new process of reserved space for future updates. Kinda mixed in with the 1903 not installing on computers with additional drives plugged in such as USB HDDs, USB Thumb drives and SD/SDHC or MicroSDXC cards.
I know some folks don’t like posting links to other Web pages but it’s so much more accurate than trying to copy and paste quotes.

AskWoody_MVPAugust 7, 2019 at 9:50 pm in reply to: How to install AMD chipset drivers on Win 7 after newer mobo/CPU install #1904880Good you found a solution but of the 6 AMD-based computers I’ve built [still have 4 that I Upgraded to Win10] I always used the CD/DVD that came with the motherboard, never had an issue. There were some time back where ‘retailers’ sold the boards without any needed supporting items such as the mounting screws, the back plate, etc.

AskWoody_MVPI was only interested because I have Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 on computers but this batch of pages may have some help:

AskWoody_MVPI have Win10 Version 1903 on 9 Notebooks [Dell and HP, wife’s is a Toshiba] and 6 Desktops, all with HDDs and no problems. Most are older machines I’ve rehabbed and awaiting sale or donation or whatever.

AskWoody_MVPThe first thing I’d do is Unhide the Taskbar, see if things change or stay the same.

AskWoody_MVPCollection of state sales tax kicked in when Net Neutrality went out, too many local entities were losing money.
