      Just FYI
I hit compatibility mode before I started typing and it works fine now.
Pages seem to load super fast and in just a quick run thru the sites I visit most I haven’t seen any problems.
I was under the impression it was supposed to have a built in spell checker. if so I cant find it.

That brings up something i was very curious about. I am new to imaging and am limited to free programs right now.
I tried Macrium but when i tried to test it by reinstalling it wouldn’t work. keep giving me a error message that something was running.
At any rate i used the built in tool in Windows 7 and it worked fine how ever it took 45 minuets to reinstall.
Is acronis that much faster than Windows 7 are is there another variable that i don’t know about?
i have about a hundred Gigs on my system mostly music and movies.

I will Stay With Win7. Nothing that i have read in this forum or any place else on the web has given me any compelling reason to upgrade.
I have better things to spend $40.00 on.

Yes that is pretty much correct.
This is a old ATT email from when they were associated with Yahoo.
I canceled the account about a year ago but they allowed me to keep the email address.
the server info was POP.ATT.YAHOO.NET. I went to the ATT support page and they showed it had changed to INBOUND.ATT.NET.
I changed both the inbound and outbound addresses and the email still works but i still get the pop up.
I even deleted the Gmail acount but that didnt help.

      Sorry about the duplicate posts.
I can only assume its because i never had a hotmail or a live.com email.
its no big deal i just created a new account using my gmail email rather than the sbcglobal.net that Microsoft associates with my windows live acount.

      let me try this again

Use a different email address as your Microsoft account We’re unable to retrieve information for this section at this time. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, please try again later.
When you change the email address you use as your Microsoft account, your other account information, contacts, and email don’t change. (But it might take up to 48 hours for all the info to switch to the new address.)
When you rename your Microsoft account, your new ID works just like your old one. All of your account information and contacts will automatically transfer to your new ID within 48 hours.
      Create a new email address

You can change the live.com. address. I changed mine. When you get in, just click the Get New ID link, in the email message from the Outook team in the inbox.

i read the email several times and and nowhere can i find a get new ID link.
i don’t know if it matters but i never had a hotmail or livemail email address.

At Microsoft, we’ve got a long history with email — from Hotmail, our consumer service used by more than 300 million people monthly, to Outlook and Exchange, the software and service managing communications, calendar, and contacts for many millions more.

Using the lessons we’ve learned from both consumers and enterprises, it’s our goal to become the very best email service anywhere. That is a big statement – but one we are absolutely committed to deliver upon. That journey starts today.

      An experience with no compromises
Outlook.com is the first step in creating one complete experience for the next generation of communications. Email should be connected to your friends – whether they like to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, or a combination. Email should let you get more done, faster – with immediate access to your inbox and tools that can automatically categorize, move, or delete messages you don’t want. Email should be deeply integrated with other services – for Outlook.com, you’ll find that Office Web Apps, SkyDrive, and, soon, Skype come built right in. And we hope you have already noticed our fast, beautiful user experience.

      We’d love your feedback
As we’ve said before, there is much more to come. If you’d like to follow along in real time, be sure to subscribe to our blog or follow us on Twitter. Along the way, if you’ve got any questions

The only problem i have is that in order to get a .outlook email address i had to set up a new account.
if i signed in using my live.com it picks up the original email i used and could not find anyway to change it.

      Ted
Understood but that was one of the points the article made. How can Microsoft find and fix issues if there is no Beta for Win 7?
it seems to me that IE9 was in Beta for many months before they released it.
I guess there is no use in speculating. Microsoft will let us know when they are ready.
