Pioneer in commercial data processing in the early 1960s and got involved in experimental office automation and networking systems from their beginning. Thrust early into computer management I didn't get the chance to study and experience the nitty gritty of programming and software development until after I retired and started doing voluntary work building and developing computer systems for charities and small organisations. In those days Woody Leonhard became a shoulder to lean on and Woody's Office Watch a must-read. Always interested in new developments I became a Windows Insider and early adopter of Windows 8 - a bitter experience. I found sympathetic souls and fellow sufferers, including Woody, in Windows Secrets. However, things improved with 8.1 and I am now a reasonably contented user of 10, but little things have been going wrong since the Fall Creators Update and this has re-awakened my interest in technical help. Who else to turn to but Woody?
