AskWoody PlusI see it does not hurt anything but I found it odd because LTSC being a stripped down version of Windows 10 does not come with any browser.

AskWoody PlusOk since my processor is not listed I will skip it. But I did run GRC spectra and found I am not protected from meltdown. GRC securable says everything is fine. I went to Asus site and found and udate to my bios. Is there any connection to the bios update and meltdown protection?
I have never updated a bios. Is there anything that can go wrong doing this?
How do I get protected from meltdown?
thanks

AskWoody PlusStupid me. I saw that I could right click the item to pin it to the start menu but since it was all ready on what I call the start menu that made no sence to me. But sure enough it worked.
thanks all

AskWoody PlusThe reason I did not use ltsc 2021 was because it end of life has been shortend and 2019’s end of life is 2 years longer…

AskWoody PlusI am afraid I cannot tell you how I came to own LTSC 1809. This will have to remain my secret. I have no idea what 21H2 means. I so much dislike microsoft LTSC is the only platform I know that they will not screw with. Look at the lady on this forum the other day that reported somehow her computer upgraded itself to Win 11. And windows comes with a bunch of crap like cortina that I do not want. And having Microsoft forcing updates that break your computer is criminal. I have been using LTSB for many years and love it. My wifes laptop has LTSC on it and I put LTSC because its end of life is 2027. Even the master patch list here shows there are current updates for both server 2016 and server 2019. I am going to take 7ProSP1’s advice and stay away from 21H2 and keep running LTSC until either it dies or I do.
Thank you 7ProSP1. You gave me the exact answer I was looking for.
