AskWoody MVPJuly 3, 2023 at 5:37 am #2570702Finally, upgrading Win10 to Win11 may be hard or impossible to undo if you change your mind.
That statement is misleading. Creating a drive image with Image for Windows. I “undid” destruction in a house fire. I could “undo” Windows 11 back to Windows 10 in less than ten minutes if I wanted to. I don’t want to, but I most certainly could; I have the necessary drive image safely tucked away offline.
Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!We all have our own reasons for doing the things that we do with our systems; we don't need anyone's approval, and we don't all have to do the same things. We were all once "Average Users".1 user thanked author for this post.

AskWoody PlusJuly 3, 2023 at 10:34 am #2570775Win11 is still beta quality with missing features and options. Win10 is supported until October 2025 when Windows 12 will be out. However, I think Microsoft will extend general support for Windows 10 like they did in the past. With Win10, it’s very likely because unlike Windows 7, Win10 can not be upgraded on many relatively new computers. This is due to Microsoft’s poor decision to require certain processors and TPM. MS will likely not allow hundreds of millions of unprotected machines. Many people will not buy a new computer, especially in this economy.
