So I’m performing a search & I’m looking at the dialog probably for the first time & I’m seeing this little message that reads “not searching hidden files & folders”. So I shut down the search & go back into ‘Folder Options’ & recheck that box that allows me to see my hidden files & folders (I had done this of course years ago but it must have reset itself…who knows.) So all of a sudden a NEW version of the always omnipresent Temporary Internet Files folder was on my desktop…of all places. This was one I’d never seen before, w/ subfolders I’ve never seen before…stuff like ‘AntiPhishing’ & ‘Content.MSO’, etc., etc. So I’m not wantin’ this thing on my desktop & I moved it into C:Documents and SettingsAll Users.

Is this an OK location…will the OS remember this location?

    Thanks,

    mark4man

Can you tell us what is in this folder and the complete folder name?

Also what are some of the dates of the files in this folder?

What kind of dates do you have for these files?

Based on what I see they should be able to be deleted.
BUT the real story is HOW did they get on the Desktop?
