I’m using Day-Timer Organizer, and need to run it in XP Mode under Windowqs 7. It runs just fine.

To sync it to my Palm, I need to use the HotSync cable (the one I’ve been using on an XP machine for years). But XP Mode doesn’t seem to recognize any USB ports, so I can’t set up HotSync.

    Any ideas?

    TIA
    Bill

In XP Mode pull down the Tools menu and click Enable Integration Features. After it installs and reboots, there will be a USB menu item that let’s you attach devices on you Win7 USB ports.

      Cheers,

True, you are supposed to have the device driver working in Win 7 for the XP mode to use it as properly, but there is a work around for the Palm. If you install the Palm Desktop in XP mode, you can press the HotSync button, then immediately pull down the USB menu in the XP Mode menubar and click Palm Handheld Attach. The HotSync software then kicks in on XP and it syncs just fine. You do have to do this each time you Hot Sync.
