• XP crashes sort of

    I have that VERY annoying situation where XP boots goes to the options screen (safe, nornal, etc, etc) and just going back there, whichever option I choose.

    Normally, I give up and re-intall windows, is there another option?

    and before you ask, data is backed up operating system isn’t!

      As long as you have an XP CD that matches your current service pack level there is another option – a repair install.
      Have you tried all the boot options?

      Your post reads as though this has happended before. You ought to try to identify what is causing the problem.
      1.) Have you made any hardware or software changes recently?
      2.) Do you have anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed?
      3.) Can you pinpoint any particular activity after which this happens?
