Hi,

How can I type a bulleted list in 1 cell?
When I press Enter, it goes onto the cell in the next row?!

Can you fix it so that the text will wrap under the text instead of under the bullet? (Like a word bullet list.)

Excel is not a word processor. Recent versions support indenting text in a cell, but not real bulleted text with a hanging indent.

Thank you. I realize Excel is not a word processor, but we do spreadsheets that include much text, including bullet lists, to support various calculations. Just thought maybe there was an easier way to do it than the workaround I’ve been using.

Hi Caniac,

If you need to have what looks like a bullet with a hanging indent (as per Word), the only way to get that in Excel (without lots of manual intervention) is to use something like the 2nd solution indicated in my original post.

You can put the bullet in a narrow column next to the text column and it will “look correct”
