Hi Alll … I searched the forum and can’t find this. So, it probably can’t be done.
Is there a way (VBA is okay) to have text that wraps in a cell to indent on the all lines but the first one?
Thanks,

Excel doesn’t have a ‘hanging indent’ feature such as Word has. Although it has some text formatting capabilities, it is not a full-blown word processor.
If you want to emulate a numbered or bulleted list, you can do that by putting the numbers or bullets in a narrow column to the left of the column with the text:
1 | This is the first item. |
2 | This is the second item. |
Hi Hans
If you ever discover a direct solution to automating the ‘hanging indent’ issue I want it now.
..especially if the hanging indents could be in a different font size and colour.
..sometimes it’s easier (but tedious) to do this manually in a cell by editing using [Alt][Enter] to force the text onto a ‘hanging line’, then using ‘spaces’ to create the indent, then highlighting the ‘indented’ text to change format and colour.
..hey, sometimes we can’t use the column to the left and inserting a column could generate so many ‘structure changes’ to the worksheet that the manual option is our only realistic choice!
..but I live in hope that one day we will all get the features we want.

A hanging indent within a cell would be hell to program, especially if you want to update it automatically when the user changes the column width. Perhaps it could be done if you used a fixed-width font such as Courier New, but with a proportional font such as Times New Roman or Arial, it would be very very diffcult.
