    Hello,

This may be a silly question, but which comes first Workbook_Open or Workbook_Activate?

I have put a sort of password userform in the Workbook_Open event. Would it be better to put it in the Workbook_Activate event. If so why?

    This is Excel 2000/Win98

    Thanks,
    Michael Read

Workbook Open occurs first. Where you put your code depends on what you want to accomplish. The Workbook Open event occurs only when the Workbook is opened. The Workbook Activate occurs after the Workbook Open event, but it also will occur every time the user switches to another workbook and then switches back to the one with the event code. Workbook Open will not occur when switching between Workbooks.
