Problem: I create a new document, type some text and save. Then I continue to work on document and save at regular intervals. Several days later when I go back to document I was working on, I find it has only saved the first time, and all the work I did after the first save has not been kept. I know that I have given the save instruction correctly and it does not give any error messages, in fact it looks like it is behaving correctly.
This problem has only happened twice so far, that I know of, and most of my documents which I create save properly. I am doing nothing different for the two that didn’t save past the first time. When I close the document it does not ask if I want to save the changes, having already done so (but they are not there when I open the document). I have tried running a virus check, and seeing if it created any temp files, or backups. I can find no reason for it to not save when told to.
I can find no similarity or connection between the two documents that did not save, they were done on different days, at different times, using different templates, with different names and in different file locations.
I do not understand why it has only happened on these two documents and not on all of the documents I have created in the last couple of weeks.
Any ideas about what could be causing it, or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated, as I am at a complete loss!
