A colleague of mine uses a IMB Thinkpad laptop with Office 97 Professional installed on it.
Lately, Word gives the error:
“This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down. If the problem….” etc.
“Windows caused an invalid page fault in module WINWORD.EXE
at (some address)”
The problem is somewhat erratic and/or intermittant but the one common factor appears to be using the Indent toolbar button.
We removed Office and then re-installed which has made no difference at all, which makes me wonder whether everything actually did get removed. We’re leaning towards re-installing Windows 95, but hope for an easier solution first.
Anybody know what else we can try?
