Word for Law Office (Word 2002)

Is there a resource out there where special Word add-ins for Law Offices are available? I’m particularly looking for legal templates for briefs, custom law dictionary, alternate ways to create a Table of Authorities (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana courts need something quite different from Microsoft’s un-customizable default).

Any help would be appreciated.

You may want to check the third party vendors list in the Intermediate Users Guide (see signature block) for free downloads as well. To my mind a real find is Bill Coan’s Boilerplate Add-In.

I don’t think it includes plug-ins, but there’s a lot of useful info.

There are, of course, companies devoted to legal pleadings. The main ones are Legal MacPac and Softwise.

You could check out their websites at http://www.legalmacpac.com and http://www.softwise.net.

For doing a Table of Authorities, the best product I have ever seen is Full Authority. In addition to generating a TOA in just a few seconds without marking text in the document, it can also show the user if there is incorrect punctuation, underlining, or abbreviations. http://www.lexisnexis.com/fullauthority/%5B/url%5D
