Is there an option somewhere that will control the scoll speed in Word? I know I can use the shift + arrow keys to navigate through a document if it is scrolling too fast, but I have a friend who wants to use her mouse to scroll and it zips through the document too fast. We tried slowing down the mouse, but that didn’t work. Any ideas?

That’s a known “condition” that you may safely call a bug. And as far as I know, the answer is no, there is no option setting. You adopt the workarounds, i.e. using the keyboard and keyboard/mouse alternatives.

But let’s see what the local MVPs have to say…

If you have a wheel mouse, Tweak UI has a setting to control the number of lines scrolled.
