Word 2002 Prints Last Page to First Page (2002 (10.2627.2625)

When printing multiple pages, my MS Word 2002 software prints the pages with the LAST page printed first and then sequentially from the last page to the first page. It occurs on any of three HP inkjet printers (882C, 970cxi and OfficeJet G Series). BTW, this also happens when I print multiple pages from MS Access 2002.
I am running Win XP Pro.
I’ve searched the Lounge without finding any posts describing this problem. Any ideas????

Hi Lee,

It sounds to me like the printer drivers for these printers have been set up that way.

Depending on how your printer driver’s are accessed from Word, you should be able to change this behaviour by selecting File|Print|Properties then going through one or more tabs until you find a ‘Print last page first’ dialogue, or something equivalent. Uncheck that and everything should be fine. Other than that, you may need to change the configuration from the Desktop via Start|Setting|Printers.

In the Printer Properties dialog, on the Layout tab, look for the radio buttons under Page Order (Front to Back -or- Back to Front). From inside Word, you usually can get to this tab by choosing File|Print… and then clicking the Properties button to the right of the printer name. I am describing Word 2000/Windows 2000 and the Laserjet dialog, but I’m guessing that yours is very similar.

Under Office XP check the File/Print/Options. Under this page there is a checkbox for Reverse print order, this may have been checked. I seem to remember when I first installed Office thayt my version did this also. No worries just a bit frustrating for traditionalists!
