Word 2002 Loses Header (Word 2000)

I have a word 2000 document with a full page header. When I send it to someone with Word 2002, the entire header is gone.

Is there a setting in word 2002 to view this header?

Is it possible that the recipient is viewing the document in normal, web layout, or Outline view? They should see it if they view the document in Print Layout view.

I tried all the views and it is the same. I even went into view header/footer and this also is blank.

Hi Susan:
If the item is a graphic & you have Tools/Options/View/picture placeholders ticked on the Word 2002 machine, this might account for it. What does the header consist of…text, graphic, inline, floating? Maybe you could attach the first page & someone could look at it (I only have Word 2000).

The header consists of a table within a text box. Are you sure that “Drawings” is ticked in the View tab of Tools | Options…? If not, the text box is not displayed at all.
