Will Word 2000 run under Win95? I have a friend that wants to upgrade from Word97 but would rather not have to upgrade the OS also.

      Hi

I am pleased to be able to report that I have been running Office 2000 Premium on Windows 95 very sucessfully.

My only problems arose on installation due to the fact that my hard drive 10Gb is partitioned into 5 2Gb partitions and there was insufficient room on my C drive where Office would like to live so I had to install it on an empty E drive. There are slight speed problems as templates are on C but there are no functionallity issues with Word 2000 nor indeed with Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Outlook or Frontpage.

Office XP (and IE6) will not install on Windows 95 so at some point something will have to give!

      Regards

Thanks. I guess I won’t have to completely upgrade Mom’s machine.
