    I purchased Works Suite 2000 that contained a pre SR-1 version of Word 2000. I updated to SR-1 and now about every 2nd time I launch Word 2000 from Desktop I get the message that SR-1 is installing. This has occurred at least 100 times. I have an AMD K6-2/300 processor, 192 megs of Ram, and am running Windows ’95 OSR 2.

      Open Word, and on the Help Key is an item called Detect and Repair. You may want to try it.
