Word 10 lock up with spell check

I’m using Word 10, Windows 7. Suddenly, Word has started locking up when using spell check.

It used to work fine so I can’t figure this one.

Suggestions?

I don’t know what is causing the problem but here are a couple of things you can try to fix it.

1. Did you recently apply any Office 2010 updates?, if so you might try using a restore point to roll them back.
2. Try runing the System File Checker to check for corrupt system files.
3. Try a Reinstall of Office 2010.
4. Of course this probablly should be #1 but run a full malware scan with at least two scanners. If you don’t already have it get Malwarebytes Free for a second option. :cheers:

Is this Word 10 or 2010 (v.14)?

Officially, Word 10 (Office XP) is not compatible with any version of Windows 7. And people who have tried it have definitely encountered problems.
