WOPR 2003 Error

I went to open Enveloper today and it would not run, since I then tried to reinstall WOPR 2003. Now nothing works.

The error messages are varied but the most common is

Could Lavasoft Aw-Aware Plus be blocking the loading of the program. Any advice welcome.

I suspect this is due to changes in Office, such as security patches, that have blocked something the WOPR installer depended on. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any updates for WOPR 2003 since its original release, and I suspect that none will be forthcoming. What would be really fantastic is for someone to sort out where all the files are supposed to go if the installer is working correctly, and then post that list in the hope that this works around the installation problem. Whether that would help at all with Enveloper, I have no idea.

With that advice in mind is there any way that this issue can be resolved?

I have been a user since version 1, I don’t use it often but I will sure miss the program.

I have been a WOPR user for 15 years and I miss it too. I get the same error message you do when I try to install WOPR components in Word 2003 running under Vista Home Premium 64-bit with SP2. I have had almost no replies to the topic and Woody never answered my email. There doesn’t seem to be much interest in WOPR anymore, and 2003 was the last version released. Official support was discontinued several years ago.
