I reinstalled windows 2000 and office 2000 premium.

When i open Access, the installer starts (?). I imagine it is looking for the wizards, because when i click on any of the wizards, nothing happens.

Where should i be looking to fix this?

When installing Office 2000, you can select to run particular bits of the application from the CD or to not install components. Often wizards are not selected by default.

Put the setup again and check that all the compents are selected.

Thanks Caz – i wouldve expected Access to ask for the Cd in that case, which it didnt.

i am thinking seriously now of formatting the drive and doing a clean install of win2k, and then a clean install of office.

Hah! After a week of hacking the win 98 cruft out of my system by reformatting the drive and doing a clean install, win2k works like a charm, as do all of the office apps.
