How can I define in what format a wizard will, let’s say, generate a command button. Can I select a macro or VBA? I run accross examples in both formats, but don´t know how to define that.

It depends on the file format you use. There is an Option (Access Options..Object Designers) for: Always use Event procedures.
If you still use the mdb format, command buttons will be created with VBA code if that option is ticked.
But if you use the newer acdb format, that option is ignored by the command button wizard, and macros are used.

(That is one the reasons I always use mdb format.)

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
