My Windows 3.1 is on an old IBM PS/1 computer I bought in 1993.  It has an Intel 486SX, 25 MHz CPU, 8 Megabytes of RAM, a 500 Megabyte HDD, and a CD ROM player.  My wife calls it a “museum piece” but it still runs well.

I still have a Windows 3.1 machine sitting in a corner of my office. The soldered-in clock battery died shortly before the pandemic, so for quite some time I couldn’t take it into a shop for replacement. By the time the Covid measures were lifted, I had forgotten all about that PC. Glad you brought up Win3.1, it reminded me that I still have that battery change on the to-do list.

Every once in a while I fire up my PS/1 mainly to play a very old DOS game called Conflagration.  It’s a very addictive Tetris variation that I still enjoy playing.  It came with IBM DOS 5.0 which I updated to MS DOS 6.22.

Judging by the answers on this ChatGPT, it still thinks it’s in 1986.  What gives?
