I need to use a 2 GB Memorex travel drive on a PC with Windows XP but it doesn’t recognize it. I looked on Memorex.com but couldn’t find any drivers. Is there someplace that I could download one?

    Thanks in advance.

      No (extra) drivers needed.

      o Remove the USB stick
      o Delete the file WindowsinfINFCACHE.1
      o Restart Computer
o Insert USB stick directly into USB port

Maybe you have to try another USB port

It seems there’s a misconception that Windows needs special drivers for USB devices. I’ve never seen this to be the case.
Windows is capable of handling all sorts of devices naturally. Hard drives, CD drives and USB Flash Drives, as well as keyboards and mice all fall into this category.
