Windows 10 Pro 21H2, New, clean installation.

Refer to image (you may have to be logged in to view).

Question:  Is it normal to see: “Your device is missing important security and quality fixes” ?

I don’t recall this in previous builds.  I’m using WUShowHide with GPE policy set at 2 and no driver updates.  But, I have allowed Defender updates and everything else but the latest cumulative update.

Also, it seems to take forever (3+ days) to update the WU queue after unhiding using WUShowHide.

    Thanks,

Also wanted to add to the above, that “Pause Updates for 7 days” is also greyed out.

I have another machine with the exact same settings (at least that I know) and it does not have the symptoms as above.

The missing updates message seems fine to me. It’s the 22H2 update for your 21H2 installation.

The lack of pause is because you have set GP to ask before doing anything.

Windows Update often takes a while to perform a refresh. Probably MS trying to limit traffic.
You could try a manual update from a Command Prompt: wuauclt.exe /detectnow

      cheers, Paul
