    Strange behavior.  I use to be able to go to”%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Asset”s and save the various pictures as they came in that I liked from the slide show into another directory.  All of a sudden nothing is showing up there but I am still seeing new pictures on the screen every day. Did they hide something?  Where are the picture files hiding now.  Any help will be appreciated.

      Try this solution :

      Click Start > Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
      Select Windows spotlight under the Background section.
      This option will provide you random pictures on your lock screen.

      That’s still where mine are. The path is defined in the registry at;
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Lock Screen\Creative\LandscapeAssetPath

      Also not getting Windows Spotlight with different pictures. Usually had to click “Login” screen now all I get is a blurry screen with my name and then logs in. Liked seeing the pictures which no longer show up.

        In the Settings App\Personalization\Colors – turn off Trasnparancy effects. That will do away with the blur on the login screen.

        In the Settings App\Personalization\Lock screen – set the Background to Windows Spotlight.

          Thanks – working this morning.  First screen that comes up is “Windows Spotlight” with Date/Time/Picture then after clicking on that screen Log In Screen comes up. Not sure what steps worked but here is what I tried:

          • Uninstalled latest update and set a 14 day pause for updates
          • System Restore which supposedly did not work but now asks if I want to roll back.  Plan to leave it alone.
          • Steps 1, 2 & 3 of link below to Ten Forums
          • chkdsk and sfc /scannow after each step
          • Waiting on Cleanmgr “Windows Update Cleanup” until Defcon changes and right before updating
