Hi. When I play a new music CD in Windows Media Player, it downloads the album information from the net. It’s a pretty cool feature. I get the album’s picture as well as the tract listing. Where does Windows Media Player store this information? What folder and file is it in?

      Hi, Henry ~

This info and album art is stored in your Temporary Internet Files. It is downloaded temporarily just like any web page. If you have XP, it will be in ‘C:Documents and SettingsHenryLocal SettingsTemporary Internet Files‘.

If you are curious about this for the sake of saving album art, there are better places such as AMG or CDNOW just for starters to acquire much better quality and size of images. I place nice-sized album cover art at the top of all lyric sheets I compile.
