    Does anyone know lf WMC will run under Vista?

      See this blog – about 1/5th down the page or search for “media” – and MSKB 932818: April 2007 Cumulative Update for Media Center for Windows Vista which suggest it does but with some issues.

        I’m not sure if we are talking about the same thing. I am referring to Windows Media CONNECT. The most recent info I could find on the MS site was a readme ( http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme…wmc_readme_CKPC [/url] ) from October 2005. Not suprisingly, the minimum system requirements at that time did not include Vista. I was hoping someone might have more current information or know of a “workaround”.

          Windows Media Connect is now named Windows Media Player Network Sharing Services and version 4 is an integral part of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows Vista.

            Thanks Hans! That was exactly the kind of info I was looking for. thankyou I guess I should just go to the WMP site at MS.
