As Leif’s post points out, I guess you and I are in good shape then. I’ve never paid any attention to it, but mine has a recent November file date, I guess the last time I did XP updates. Strange that the file date revealed in a hover is much older. Anyway, I too have never “heard anything” from it, so I guess that’s good news.

Your Windows Explorer shows you “Date modified” stamp, when a balloon shows “Date created” stamp. Seemly Microsoft created a new version of the file “on the top” of previous version.

Ya know, you’re right. Assuming an “author” would edit a program, not necessarily replace it, the original date WOULD remain just like the OS does with data files WE edit periodically. Thanks.
