In Windows Mail I cannot open .PPS (Powerpoint) files. I have the Powerpoint viewer and it will work fine with a .PPS file that’s on the hard drive. But when it’s a file attached to Windows Mail email, I get message that I need to associate a program with that type of file. That association has been done and redone, checked and rechecked. Ideas? Solutions?

In general, it’s better (and safer) to save attachments to disk and open them from there, instead of opening attachments directly from an e-mail.

HANS, thanx for quick reply. I don’t want to go thru that hassle every time a .PPS shows up in my Windows Mail. 99% of the time, I’ll want to just look at it, then delete it, so I’m hoping for a solution to the problem.
