Windows Live Mail…Will Not Open *.EMLs

hello…

as the thread title states…it’s that simple…Windows Live Mail will not open *.eml files….(…&…I could have sworn that it used to…am I wrong…???)

I normally get these types of files from family members…whereby the *.eml is an attachment (I believe) that is an e-mail from whatever utility they are using (outlook express, aol mail, etc.)

how can I open these to read the contents…???

I haven’t tried opening .eml files in Live Mail. I don’t have a clue how to do so, but I know that Outlook won’t open them. My department uses Outlook, but there are a few MAC users who use Entourage. When they save emails on the network drive, they save them as .eml or .txt files. I use my browser (IE or Firefox) to open the .eml files, but not a program in my browser.

If I save an email in WLM 2009 it is saved as .eml and is easily opened just by clicking it.
