I’m currently running Home 2004, 19041.1110. I forgot to re-pause updates after the last one and windows is now scheduling an off-hours update to the new version. Any concerns? I think Susan gave the green light a while back. My machine/software are pretty straightforward; I don;t do anything complicated or download many apps, extensions, or whatever. Non-MS applications are reputable and well-established.

    Thanks.

No concerns. Should be quick and easy.

Even though the odds are very slim for problems, ALWAYS backup your data/favorites/etc. before an upgrade. Better safe than sorry!

I got it forced on me last week.  Going from Win10 Home 2004, the update to 21H1 only took  a few minutes … about the same as any monthly security update.

Pausing won’t make much of a difference with 21H1 as MS is pushing it on most Home systems as soon as you un-pause which most have to do at some point.

Susan’s old Acer laptop with a 32 gig HDD was recently updated to 21H1 without any problems

I don’t think this was a big feat as Susan’s Acer laptop was on 2004 and the update to 21H1 is just flipping some switches ON and takes a fraction of a second.
