I have for years run using three monitors.  The middle one is the primary (showing the desktop) and Windows has extended the screen to the left and right monitors.  For some unknown reason, the task bar (with quick launch and system tray icons) is now locked onto the right hand monitor.  I say locked because I can’t move it.  Help says (after unchecking the “lock the taskbar” option) that I can click on it and then move it anywhere I want.  I want it back on the primary screen.  Can anyone tell me how to move it?  (A registry entry?)Thank you,    John Littell

Shouldn’t the subject of your post be “Windows has locked my taskbar)?

The problem of the taskbar locked on my right hand screen has gone away. During the process of applying the Windows Vista SP1 update, and then upgrading from Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate, the problem, whatever it was, was fixed. The taskbar was easily moved back to the primary screen.
