Windows Defender (Beta 2) Updates

I’ve recently upgraded from AntiSpyware following info in the other thread. I know it’s beta but is anyone else having problems with the installation of updated definitions? Defender tells me I should update but then won’t install the downloads I get error 0x80070643 which I can’t find on the Microsoft site.
Any ideas?

I’ve gone back to AntiSpyware for now.

Hi Peter,

Just to let you know.
I did the same on my desktop (XP Pro) and my laptop (XP home). The update feature on the desktop does not work, no error message though, it keeps saying I should update. On the laptop everything works ok.

So far, no solution. I am thinking of going back to AntiSpyware for the desktop.

Link goes nowhere, and searching for 915105 on the Microsoft support shows no such KB bulletin.

I edited the URL – there were some superfluous spaces in it. The link works for me now (but I cannot guarantee its usefulness)
