Could I get any advice on this? For a few days I’ve been getting a prompt about Windows Activation. “You must activate windows now to continue using all of its features.” I always ignore. A quick Google search always seems to connect this message wiht Windows XP. My shelf model computer originally had Windows XP but had Vista installed (over it I guess) at Circuit City before I bought it a year ago.

A good place to start, just to make sure, is My Computer, Properties and down at the bottom, see if yours IS activated as it should be. (my attachment)

I wonder if there’s a connection to your “blue screens” problem?

Why do you ignore the message?
Why NOT activate it? It’s simple and quick and as AL said, maybe it’s part of your other problems. confused3
